We have a lot of great things planned for this year in RI and need your help in getting involved and spreading the word.
WHAT IS 988 DAY?
988 Day is a Day of Action to raise awareness and positive buzz about the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline through a variety of creative activities spearheaded by communities, organizations, and individuals.
THIS YEAR’S THEME:
“Compassionate Help. Anytime. Anywhere.”
This year’s theme conveys the heart of what 988 is all about - empathy, accessibility, and reliability.
The 988 network of more than 15,000 crisis counselors continue to help reduce barriers and stigma around seeking mental health support.
GET INVOLVED:
We need as many Rhode Islanders as we can to join us in spreading awareness around 988, reducing stigma, and making compassionate care accessible to anyone in need across the state and the country.
You can help by attending our 988 Day events, promoting 988 resources, using the #988Day toolkit, and encouraging open conversations.

The 988 Partner Toolkit is a resource center for social media, video, print, radio, FAQs, messaging, and other marketing materials that can be used to promote the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
It is designed for states, territories, tribes, crisis centers, communities, emergency service providers, and other partners to speak with one voice so there is a clear understanding about the 988 Lifeline and how it works.
